My passion for hair begin when I was a young girl. I had the privilege to grow up going to the hair salon all the time. This made me want to do hair, so my mother bought me one of those BIG BRATZ dollheads, and I would do my dolls hair all the time.
Now growing up, I was super tenderheaded. I was that lil girl in the chair making funny faces trying not to cry or move because I knew I would get in trouble if I moved too much. The years of stylist gripping my thoughts and brain cells (just playing but kind of not) ended in grade school for me.
I finally decided I was going to start doing my own hair. I started off with crochet styles because I couldn’t grip tight enough for box braids ( and I‘ve always been picky about how hair looks) but i could do some neat and tight cornrows. Crochet styles became my go to and I learned about many different styles and the simple but intricate techniques used to achieve them.
Although I gained so much knowledge, there was so much more I didn’t know and wanted to learn. After graduation, I applied to cosmetology school in October of 2020 and graduated in July of 2021.
